Grant Funding Offer for Early-Stage Clean Energy Projects in Southern and East Africa.

  • EEP Africa has opened a call for proposals aimed at applicants in need of grant financing to implement innovative early-stage clean energy projects in Southern and East Africa.
  • The Energy and Environment Partnership Trust Fund (EEP Africa) is a clean energy financing facility managed by the Nordic Development Fund (NDF) with funding from Austria, Finland and NDF.
  • The call for proposals was announced on 28 January 2020.

The theme of the call is ‘Clean Energy Powering Green Growth’ with particular focus on impact-driven companies working in clean energy for productive use and clean energy in circular economy solutions.

According to EEP Africa, available financing is in the form of grants and repayable grants between EUR 200,000 – 500,000, with a minimum of 30% co-financing required.
