Eswatini invites bids for Bulimeni Solar PV + Battery Minigrid Project

  • The Eswatini Energy Regulatory Authority (ESERA) has officially launched a call for bids from qualified and experienced Project Developers for the design, part-financing, construction, operation, and maintenance of a Solar PV plus Battery Minigrid Facility in the Bulimeni Community, located in the Shiselweni region under the Nkwene Constituency.

The selected Energy Services Company (ESCO) will be contracted for a 20-year term to deliver a fully integrated minigrid system, enhancing energy access and sustainability in the region.

Bidders’ Conference: Thursday, 06 November 2025, 10:00–13:00 (Eswatini time), held in hybrid format. Venue and login details to be announced.

Pre-Bid Site Meeting & Visit: Friday, 07 November 2025 at 10:30 (Eswatini time) at Bulimeni. Bidders must arrive by 10:00 at coordinates 26°44’55.4″S 31°18’54.4″E.

Bid Submission Deadline: Wednesday, 03 December 2025 at 12:00 noon (Eswatini time). A non-compulsory Bid Opening will follow immediately at ESERA offices.
