- Jinko Solar continues to expand its global footprint with a powerful new milestone in Africa’s renewable energy landscape!
Jinko is proud to announce its role in powering Côte d’Ivoire’s first large-scale solar power plant connected to the national grid, the Boundiali Solar Power Plant, a transformative project that highlights both regional progress and global collaboration in the clean energy sector.
With an impressive installed capacity of 83.5 MW, the Boundiali plant marks a major step forward in West Africa’s transition toward renewable energy. Developed in partnership with Cote d’ivoire Energies and Eiffage RMT, the project reflects a shared commitment to sustainability, innovation, and long-term energy resilience.
Powered with Jinko Solar’s Tiger Neo N-Type TopCon modules, renowned for their industry-leading efficiency, performance, and durability. These advanced modules are designed to maximize energy output even under the challenging environmental conditions like in Middle east and across Africa.
The Boundiali plant plays a pivotal role in helping Côte d’Ivoire meet its ambitious target of achieving 42% renewable energy in its national mix by 2030. This aligns with the country’s broader strategy to reduce carbon emissions, enhance energy security, and become a leader in Africa’s energy transition.
By bringing clean, reliable solar power to more communities and reducing dependence on fossil fuels, this project underscores the potential of public-private partnerships to accelerate the continent’s progress toward a sustainable future.
This project is not just a regional achievement it’s part of a global movement. As a world-leading solar module manufacturer, Jinko Solar is committed to delivering cutting-edge solutions that help governments, utilities, and developers meet their clean energy goals.
